If you are business owner that sell your products online, you may have had this happen to you. Shoppers that have been caught doing the hit and run. Yes! Window shoppers. Window shopping is when people stroll through the shopping district and never buy anything. Window shopping is a fun and favorite pastime for people all over the world. Some people may choose to window shop to gather ideas that they can use or picture in their home or collecting inspiration for future gift giving.
But what if you a business who sell on social media sites like Facebook? You have a shopper that is interested in your product, the shopper gives you the green light, sends you their PayPal email address....and pfftt....They never pay their invoice. So what do you do? You didn’t gain a sale, you are resentful because the shopper wasted your time and you have made a custom order for them. I have a couple of suggestions to be made that may help.
- Try creating an online store where shoppers have to shop through your store, instead of contacting you personally.
- Only handle customer service questions or concerns through Facebook or other social media sites.
- Only use the invoice method for custom orders.
- Take deposits for custom orders. Deposits can separate window shoppers from serious buyers.
- Inform shoppers about your payment and ordering policies.
- If you have a repeat shopper that never pay, try reporting them on Facebook sites like “Caution Fake Fans & Bad Vendors”
I hope this truly help with the questions I have gotten from many business owners. As always, live natural & chemical free. FREE YOURSELF!
